On Monday, August 10, 2009 Geothermal Services, Inc., of Mays Landing, New Jersey, will begin setting up to drill 20 Geothermal, heating and cooling, wells.
Divsion Street Closing
Division Street will be closed on Monday, August 10, 2009 for the remainder of the Library construction project. The closure will take place between the intersection of Washington Avenue and for approximately 100 feet along Division Street.

Thank You to the Saugerties Central School District Board of Education for granting approval of the Construction Easement that will allow the Library to proceed with the construction project along the Cahill Elementary School property.

Traffic Plan
A Traffic Plan has been developed in conjunction with the Village Police Department to minimize the impact of the project on the surrounding neighborhood. It was presented to the Village Board on June 1 and approved by the Board on June 15, 2009.

Geothermal Well Testing
One Geothermal Test Well is being drilled on the Library's property between July 7 and July 15. Drilling wells is fairly loud and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This work is critical to the pre-construction phase of the project and will be completed as quickly as possible.

Removal of all hazardous waste is complete at 3 Division Street and 81 Washington Avenue. Demolition is scheduled for Saturday, May 16th - Firday, May 22nd.

Contract #1 was awarded to J. Mullen & Sons from Saugerties for demolition of 3 Division Street and 81 Washington Avenue. Contract #2 was awared to Neoplanta from Clifton Park for removal of hazardous waste removal, and Ambient Environmental was hired for air monitoring during this process.
