These are the contractors building your new library.
The final contracts, Contracts 6-10, were just awarded on October 13, 2009, by the Library

 October 1, 2009 Groundbreaking
Saugerties Library Board of Trustees and Director Jessica Serrano at the groundbreaking ceremony that was held on Thursday,September 24, 2009. The ceremony wasattended by over 75 people. Those in attendance included Senator John Bonacic and Assemblyman Peter Lopez. Thank you to all those who joined in our celebration.

On Monday, August 10, 2009 Geothermal Services, Inc., of Mays Landing, New Jersey, will begin setting up to drill 20 Geothermal, heating and cooling, wells.
Divsion Street Closing
Division Street will be closed on Monday, August 10, 2009 for the remainder of the Library construction project. The closure will take place between the intersection of Washington Avenue and for approximately 100 feet along Division Street.

Thank You to the Saugerties Central School District Board of Education for granting approval of the Construction Easement that will allow the Library to proceed with the construction project along the Cahill Elementary School property.

Traffic Plan
A Traffic Plan has been developed in conjunction with the Village Police Department to minimize the impact of the project on the surrounding neighborhood. It was presented to the Village Board on June 1 and approved by the Board on June 15, 2009.

Geothermal Well Testing
One Geothermal Test Well is being drilled on the Library's property between July 7 and July 15. Drilling wells is fairly loud and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. This work is critical to the pre-construction phase of the project and will be completed as quickly as possible.
